Well, we went down to the french quarter this evening to have an evening with the big kids..We ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. The food was good and the fellowship unforgettable. We walked around for a while and ended up at Cafe Du Monde and ate some famous beignets..while we were eating our french donuts, on the park bench across from us were two young ladies...They looked like hippies, were chain smoking with others, and drinking whiskey straight from the bottle. As I watched them, I couldnt help but think about their parents somewhere, I wandered if they were loved and missed by their parents, I also couldnt help but think about sharing the gospel with them....but, in my weakness, i didn't. My prayer now is that I might have boldness and proclaim the Glorious Gospel to whomever I may. My heart breaks for these girls, I have the cure for their disease, and I being a coward, failed to share with them the remedy. Please join me in prayer that we may be BOLD for our LORD, we need to remember that HE was BOLD for us upon the Cross....He didnt fail us, He didnt cower down when it was time to stand up and PRAIS AND HONOR BE TO THE LAMB WHO WAS SLAIN FOR OUR SIN....Father, I pray that we would be Bold and Courageous with your Gospel...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Well, Ben, they are loved and missed by their parents. As to the witnessing it is never easy to talk to strangers about the Lord Jesus but I will pray that HE gives you the boldness you desire. One thing to remember--people in NO think nothing is wrong with drinking--it is the norm there unlike here where we baptists disapprove of it. I pray that God will bless the great adventure you and your family are on.

  2. Ok, Ben, I posted a comment and then I thought well Ben might not know who Grandma Tonie is---it is Miss Savage. Scarlett has a blog named A Streetcar Named Stella for her little girl--they live in La Place and Sarah lives in Uptown NO. Anyway I am Grandma Tonie when I comment on Stella's blog so I guess that is who I am when I comment on any blog! :-)
